KC Developer Manager is the packaging and licensing backend for everything built in this workshop.
Features
- Package & Publish: zips any plugin authored “KC-Dev” and writes a ZIP + JSON update manifest into a configurable updates folder — the same shape WordPress core’s update checker expects.
- Optional subscription licensing: mark a plugin “Subscription Required” and a license-check stub is auto-injected into its ZIP on the next publish.
- License management: generate, revoke, and track per-client license keys (1-year expiry, domain-locked), validated over a REST route (
kc-licenses/v1/validate). - Settings panel with usage guide under the KC-Dev admin menu.
[kcd_kc_developer_manager]shortcode: published-plugin and active-license counts, admins only.- Public downloads list:
[kcd_kc_developer_manager_downloads]shows every published plugin with its version, description, a “License required” badge where applicable, and a download link — drop it on any page.
